Supplication for Breaking Black Magic
Explanation: This supplication is one of the most authentic and tested means narrated from the Infallibles (as) to eliminate the negative effects of black magic and witchcraft.
Instruction: It is highly recommended to recite this dua with a pure intention and wudhu (ablution). To break the spell, you can also write it on a clean piece of paper and carry it as a talisman, or recite it over clean water and drink it.
Arabic Text:
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَبِاللَّهِ، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَمَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ، بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ، قَالَ مُوسَىٰ مَا جِئْتُم بِهِ السِّحْرُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَيُبْطِلُهُ ۖ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ، فَوَقَعَ الْحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ، فَغُلِبُوا هُنَالِكَ وَانقَلَبُوا صَاغِرِينَ
Transliteration:
"Bismillahi wa billah, bismillahi wa masha'Allah, bismillahi wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah. Qala Musa ma ji'tum bihis-sihru, innallaha sayubtiluh, innallaha la yuslihu 'amalal-mufsidin. Fawaqa'al-haqqu wa batala ma kanu ya'malun, faghulibu hunalika wanqalabu saghirin."
Translation:
"In the name of Allah and by Allah! In the name of Allah, and whatever Allah wills (happens)! In the name of Allah, there is no power and no strength except with Allah. Moses said: 'What you have brought is magic. Indeed, Allah will render it vain. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of the corrupters.' So the truth was established, and what they were doing was made vain. They were defeated there and returned disgraced."
