What is Magic and Does it Exist? Signs and Harms of Magic

What is magic?

The concept of magic exists in almost all religions and ancient belief systems. In Arabic and ancient Islamic sources, this concept is referred to as "sihr".

In terms of content, magic is a ritualistic tool prepared by the practitioner (sahir/sorcerer) through performing special rituals to summon metaphysical beings (jinn) and utilizing various items (bone, hair, candle, soap, special writings, etc.) in exchange for meeting their conditions.

Signs and Harms of Magic

The following states and situations occur frequently or continuously in a person afflicted with magic.

  1. Headaches
  2. Pains in the back and neck areas
  3. Muscle pains, weakness, and fatigue - Feeling weak and tired upon waking up in the morning. Feeling exhausted as if you have done a lot of work, even when you have done nothing.
  4. Constant insomnia - Not getting enough sleep, frequent yawning.
  5. Unexplained feelings of longing or yearning.
  6. Fear of impending doom - Feeling as if an unpleasant event is about to happen.
  7. Bad luck - Failing in matters where many succeed; initially, things go well, but they eventually end in failure.
  8. Weakness of will - Lack of willpower to do things that are easy for you; doing things you said you wouldn't do, even against your own will.
  9. Nervousness - Sudden angry reactions to minor issues, constant tension, unexplained aggressive states.

It is possible to get rid of magic, but we would like to bring a few key points to your attention.

Deliverance from magic is possible solely and exclusively through operations conducted within the framework of the Islamic religion; other religions and non-Islamic methods can never invalidate (batil) magic.

The popular method in Azerbaijan of finding and extracting the physical magic object is absolutely not a solution. As mentioned earlier, magic is an object; removing it does not eliminate its effect. It might temporarily (for a few days) reduce it, but it definitely does not eradicate it. This is because the active force is not the object, but the jinn.

The ritual performed while casting the magic can only be broken through Islamic science; that is, expelling the harmful jinn coming from the magic is only possible in Islamic science.

It is not possible to be completely freed from magic solely by performing Ruqyah, but it is possible to temporarily reduce its effects. However, alongside reciting certain verses and surahs of the Holy Quran, drinking [water recited upon] and performing a ritual bath (ghusl) correctly and systematically for a specified period (mostly 45 days) can cleanse it by about 80%, which is noticeably beneficial.
